The Browser War Continues

ieIt seems this time, Microsoft has taken new interest with IE9 to keep pace with the competition. While Internet Explorer is still the dominant web browser today, other browsers have slowly kept pace and it will be in time that IE will lose its reign over other browsers. Hence the sudden interest to retake the browser initiative.

While IE8 did provide new security¬†and privacy features, it also “finally” followed web standards particularly in the HTML department which is good news for programmers who tediously abhor the task of making sure their code works seamlessly in all browsers.

IE9 takes advantage of existing hardware to provide new features in how text and graphics displays are handled like hardware acceleration, compatibility sales pitch and faster javascript (ain’t this always a feature for every new browser version that comes out?).

We will see, for now I still see Firefox as the best browser when it comes to handling Javascript though I use Chrome for my everyday surfing life. What about you? What is your take on this?
