If you do not know what Technorati is, it is an Internet search engine for searching blogs. It is a famous criteria for paid blogging sites to rate blogger sites who submit their sites to join the paid blogging program. I barely log in to the site since I registered my blogs a long time ago but I had noticed that the rankings suddenly dropped to zero for no apparent reason.
After all these months, I accessed the site and the weirdest thing happened. I could not update any of my account information and access my blog details. Worse, most of my blogs do not have any ranks. I searched Google to find an answer and sad to say there is no solution. Lots of people complained that they could not update their accounts as well.
The fix (so they say) was to clear the browser’s cookies but it still did not work. Is Technorati done for? Well, from the looks of it, it seemed they probably are not paying more attention to it anymore. Otherwise, the account and blog info page would be working. Any of you experienced this? Did you find a fix for this? Please do tell.
Sad to say, in Mac OS the current version of Google Chrome 22.214.171.124 (35163) beta does not have a bookmark manager unlike its Windows counterpart. As for the reason why it is not there only Google knows Actually there should be no reason why they did not include it. Bookmarks are one of the most very important features in a web browser.
If you bookmarked a lot of URLs and you want some of them removed, you have to painstakingly go to each bookmark and load the page, click on the star icon beside the URL locator and click the remove button to have the bookmarked URL removed from your list.
After reading through CNN’s article about 10 things missing from the iPad, I was totally disappointed but not surprised. After all, it is Apple’s way of bamboozling consumers for more money by restricting standard features in gadgets and forcing people to buy some of them as extra accessories.
The iPad does not have any USB port. That sucks. Now how can we transfer files to and fro?
No video camera, no stills camera, and no webcam. The first two will likely never make it into a future iPad, but the lack of a webcam is just plain weird.
Flash is not supported. Apple probably hates it so much that it has restricted the iPad from supporting it. Part of the reason is its being a hungry resource hogger, hence the quick battery drain.
No multitasking. Just like the iPhone or iTouch. Sucks.
There are 6 other features lacking from the iPad that are not mentioned in this post. I did not bother mentioning them since for me they do not really matter. These 4 features that I mentioned though should have been incorporated to the iPad. Who knows, maybe the next version of iPad will support them as is the usual Apple ploy. People will then be tempted to buy the newer models.
