Cooliris, Check It Out!

This Google Chrome 3rd party extension program is a must have! Called Cooliris (cool iris), the current running module runs only in Windows operating systems. Linux and Mac OS versions to come soon. Man, I want it now! It displays images and videos as a 3D Wall that speeds up search on Google Images, YouTube, Flickr to name a few. Viewing photos from Facebook, Picasa, and even your own computer is a cinch.

On the infinite 3D Wall, you can effortlessly scroll though thousands of images and videos in seconds without having to click from page to page.

A neat feature with Cooliris called Cooliris Channels, puts 1.5+ million TV episodes, movies, and titles from over 70 leading content providers at your fingertips. Premium content from Hulu, CBS, Showtime, ESPN, FOX, and many more can be watched through it.

HOW TO USE COOLIRIS
Launch Cooliris from your browser toolbar, or visit one of many hundreds of supported sites and click the Cooliris icon that appears as you mouseover images and videos.

For example, to enjoy Cooliris on Google Images:
1. Go to http://images.google.com
2. Search as you normally do, e.g. “mountains”
3. Mouseover any thumbnail image from your search results
4. Click the Cooliris icon that appears (or just click the Cooliris toolbar icon).

  1. Thanks for the nice review! The Chrome team is working on the issues that are preventing our Mac release for Chrome, but rest assured they are working on it and it will be fixed, although we don’t have an ETA. Stay tuned!
