Google is in a frenzy introducing new technologies here and there. Now, they are trying to bring the Web to the living room. This May, they are planning to unveil a new software package to help developers better display the internet on TV sets which will be based on the Android software platform.
From the CNN website, Sony also plans to announce a TV that runs an Intel chip and Google’s software. This comes as the idea of “connected TV,” or television sets that let people browse the Web for video, news stories, video conferencing and to stream music, continues to get a push from electronics and internet companies.
This is good new really. With Apple paving the way for this, I am sure others will pop out with new features and improved technologies and they all will just keep on getting better.

I still remember when I wrote about this contest sponsored by Abbott Medical Optics Inc., the company behind the revolutionary eyesight corrective surgery called iLasik. That contest was called the “You Gotta See This” iLASIK Video Contest where people from all around the world submitted their self made videos depicting how better vision could improve or if it has improved in their lives. The grand prize is worth $5,000. That is big!
I am excited to let you all know that the winners have been announced. If you are any of the lucky winners, lucky you! I envy you! The big winners received some great prizes like HDTV packages worth $2,500 in value and some Flip UltraHD camcorders worth almost $200 while the grand prize winner received a whopping $5,000 price money. If you the watch the video, I guess you can understand why Alex won the grand prize of the iLASIK Video Contest.
You can view all the winners, including all the other entries in the site. You can even register to receive valuable eye care products. You should check out all the videos because there are different winners whose videos relate to three certain categories: how their contacts are getting in the way of their good time,
their favorite sport or activity would be so much cooler with better vision and how they see life after the iLASIK procedure.

I just read a gruesome news in the BBC website that a teenager in Chile had killed his older brother after an argument over a PlayStation console. Over … a … Playstation … console
While the two were home alone, the younger teenager is said to have flown into a rage after his older brother powered on his PlayStation without first asking his permission. The younger boy allegedly picked up a kitchen knife and plunged it into his brother’s chest. The boys’ adoptive mother was in Belgium. The two are said to have been abandoned by their biological mother and were in care for 10 years before being taken in.
The younger brother even admitted to police about it. Man, wonder how he felt now that he just killed his older brother just for that. Back when people would just use their knuckles, today they use deadly weapons. Ack!
