I have read users having problems running the install manager executable of the Samsung Tizen SDK both in Windows 7 and 8. In my case, when I run the install manager under Windows 7 32-bit, it closes the popup window after extracting the file so I had no way to figure out what files were decompressed and where they were placed.

I had to take a screenshot just to find out where. The extracted files can be found at

c:\users\USERNAME\appdata\local\temp\tizensdk########

Now that you found the path, what to do next? Since the files located there are a jar file and a conf text file.

To run the install manager manually, run it using Java from the command line.

java -jar InstallManager.jar

That’s it! You should see a window show up like this.

s4_sensors

Samsung Galaxy S 4 has made it known that is has quite a number of sensors inside its Galaxy S4 smart phone. Some of these include the on board barometer and temperature/humidity sensor.

Samsung has revealed that there are a total of nine sensors on board its latest flagship smartphone and detailed their roles in phone’s features via an info-graphic (photo from Sinful Android).

Most of the modern smartphones come with some common sensors like accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer and proximity sensor, which are necessary to provide some practical features, but Samsung has taken it to a whole new level.

Despite these number of sensors, the battery-backup of the phone will not be affected.

Taking a screenshot in Samsung Galaxy S3 is the same as in S2.

  • Press and hold the power and the home button at the same time and wait. Do not release before a confirmation pops up.

However, if you cannot get the timing right, there is another way to do it.

  • Place the palm of your hand so it covers the screen from top to bottom then slide from right to left.

Easy, right?
