If you visit Doodle Jumps’s page in iTunes, it says it is insanely addictive. I was not a believer at first since I was the only one playing the game. But after my wife played the game and dared to challenge me to top her score, we have been at it trying to beat each other out.

And I can say this is truly a very addictive game. That is … if you have someone else to compete. This is where games get played over and over when it involves more than one player. It got even crazier when the makers of Doodle Jump, Lima Sky added new features to the game like the multiplayer options

The game is really simple and it is not that new. There are already games like this before. Yet, Doodle Jump’s simple graphics and cute designs make this a simply lovable game. If you want to enhance the graphics, there are multiple themes if you find the classic one boring you.

In Doodle Jump, you guide Doodle the Doodler using some of the most subtle and accurate tilt controls in existence on a springy journey up, up, up a sheet of graph paper, picking up jet packs, avoiding black holes, and blasting monsters with nose balls along the way.

Tilt right or left. Tap your finger on the screen to fire against the enemies and reach for the top score!

Thanks to a box of colored pencils and a whole lot of creativity, Makenzie Melton now has a $15,000 college scholarship, a netbook computer and a $25,000 technology grant for a new computer lab at her school. Lucky third grader if I say so myself. Now Makenzie’s future is secured. Good for the kid.

Melton’s doodle, titled “Rainforest Habitat” will appear on the Google homepage Thursday.

The doodle, which expresses Melton’s concern that the rainforest is in danger, was chosen over more than 33,000 submissions by students ranging from kindergarten to twelve grade.

The theme for the doodle was “If I could do anything, I would…”. A panel of well-known illustrators, cartoonists and animators helped choose the winning doodle. Congratulations! (Photo taken from CNN)
