Ever heard of chat roulette? The premise is simple. All you need is a fast Internet connection, your browser and a webcam. That’s it! The logic is the same somewhat as in a regular game of roulette. Get the chance to meet new friends and new people.
You have two windows on your screen, your webcam and your possible new friend. If you do not like what you see, you can skip on and go to the next random person that chat roulette gives to you.
Crazychatroulette is one of the most popular German chatroulette sites where you can meet new German girls and friends. Try it out. I am sure once you start using it, it can be addicting especially if you are the sociable type.
Make sure you have a fast Internet connection or else you won’t be able to appreciate your view.
Technology has another breakthrough. This time, courtesy of the Germans. The scientists at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) said they had broken the world record by sending data at a speed of 26 terabits per second.
Wow … is all I can say. Maybe amazing too! According to MSN News, the data, sent over 50 kilometers (31 miles) on a single laser beam, was coded thanks to a system known as orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) in which the laser beam is divided into separate colour streams.
Professor Juerg Leuthold of the institute said in a statement that with 26 terabits per second, one can simultaneously transmit up to 400 million telephone calls per second.
If only this can be applied to our Internet usage now, think of the possibilities ;).
