Amid all the hoopla that you can easily create Android applications within the Eclipse IDE through a plugin, what about developing Android applications using the NetBeans IDE. Luckily, a group of developers created a plugin that allows Android developers to create Android applications inside the NetBeans environment.

Called the Kenai Project, they created a plugin called nbandroid. There is a step by step instruction in their wiki page on how to set up the plugin with NetBeans complete with visual screenshots so you can easily integrate it and get it working right away.
