Any Spiderman game is always a great game no matter how sucky the game play is. Luckily, Gameloft’s Spiderman Total Mayhem is an awesome game even though its controls can be quirky sometimes.
Right from the start, this game offers action packed game play encountering well known villains like Sandman, Electro, Green Goblin, Dr. Octopus, Rhino and many more. Play as red Spiderman or black, each with a different special move although you have to finish the game first before being able to use the black Spiderman character on any of the levels.
Spiderman Total Mayhem captures all the action, humor and fun of the Ultimate series in this awesome game for the Android platform. The graphics are pretty superb and I typically like one level where Spiderman zips through the city trying to chase the Green Goblin.
It is what I expect playing in any Spiderman game but only got to first experience it in this game. The game showcases some unique features like being able to take a photo during Spidey’s action with any big bad boss and viewing them in your gallery as well as hidden icons to retrieve comic arts.
I played only the easy mode and I had a pretty hard time fighting against Rhino. What more if it was in difficulty mode. Geez. Gameloft did a tremendous job porting this game to the Android platform. Great game and definitely worth paying for.
Spider-Man: Friend or Foe for the PSP is a unique take on the media franchise. This action/adventure game reinterprets big-screen moments and battles with a humorous twist. Players team up with famous heroes from the Marvel Comics universe to combat villains and then convert them to sidekicks after defeating them in epic boss battles.
The game includes a co-op multiplayer mode, as Spider-Man or a sidekick, in locations around the globe, including Tokyo, Egypt and Nepal. You can even set up a server and have someone else join you in a game of networking. The game overall is easy. Its linear plot took me that fast to finish the game. It is all a matter of going to a certain area, defeat all drones then the doorway opens to the next area and so on and so forth until you reach the big boss.
In a matter of twist, Spider-Man’s enemies actually got mind controlled and after defeating each and every one of them, you can use them as your sidekick. The mastermind behind all of this is Mysterio and after defeating him, the symbiote is turned over to Nick Fury who labels it as Project Carnage.
The graphics is amazing. Even the short animations are but most of the cut scenes are like comic pages with voice over conversations. The game overall is good. I had a great time playing it!
Recently finished this game and I would say this was very enjoyable. Although I played friendly mode, some bosses were not that easy to defeat like the Tinkerer’s robot. That took me time though. The game takes place between Venom and Spiderman and after you defeat Venom, you suddenly pass out only to find later on that the symbiote has attached itsel back to you … and everybody else. Parts of Venom’s symbiote have infected people and some famous Marvel characters including Luke Cage and Black Cat which you will have to fight it out with them as you go deeper into the game.
The game’s Amazing Allies Edition is what makes it unique. You can call up villains and heroes to give you a helping hand in times in need. I thought that you could use them as you play the game but it turned out they are some sort of a helper powerup in case you run into some trouble. As you play the game, you encounter people who give you missions if you choose to accept them. Points will also be rewarded to you if you refuse, that is, if you are wearing Venom’s symbiote. The game lets you choose which costume to use which totally brings an impact to how Spiderman attacks his opponents. The black suit would act as an attack mode while the red suit would immobilize enemies with its web. You can also upgrade skills and powerups to make your attacks and defenses stronger. Overall, a pretty good game for me. I did not bother playing the hard mode though haha.
