When I say lightweight, it does not mean only a few features exist. While all antivirus programs must be able to provide daily update options in order to combat new threats, Vipre, with all its various features is still lightweight when run.

And I mean it literally.

I thought it would hog my PC the same way such well known anti virus softwares like Norton and McAfee do but I was surprised that it did not affect my PC like I expected it to considering my desktop is not even that fast when it comes to hardware specs.

VIPRE Internet Security is quite easy to install. Just follow the installer wizard and you will have it running in no time.

It also has this neat feature that does automatic software patching with its Easy Update feature. This means that out of date software like Windows, Java, Adobe, Skype, iTunes and others are the most common cause of PC infections and its security holes get automatically patched by Vipre.

Funny thing when I ran a security check using Vipre, it gave quite a lot of results whereas my previous McAfee software was not as effective.

All in all, Vipre does what I want it to do: protect my PC from secrity threats and it does so in real time which is critical considering many of us these days are online most of the time and majority of these threats are because of the Internet.

You should try it out. I bet you will uninstall your old anti-virus application and use Vipre in the long run. If you want to find out more information, you can visit

I can relate well to this because it is this same software that I actually use in my PC. I have to say that the Vipre installation process was very easy when I first started. Click a few buttons here and there and voila!

Vipre Anti virus software is seamlessly running in my PC.

The best thing I like about this is the fact that this anti virus software is not a resource hog. Maybe it is because both anti apyware and anti malware features are incorporated into this software as one rather than having them as separate modules that can typically slow down your system.

I remember those Norton anti virus softwares that I used to stay loyal to. Well, guess what?! I am not using them anymore. It has been Vipre anti virus ever since!

Really. I have been happy with Vipre’s performance so far. Not slowing down my PC is very important because my resources are limited. Having an anti virus software is equally important too because you never know when a virus can hit you.

It is better to be safe than sorry, right?

As we stay online often times it is an utmost requirement that real time protection should be running to protect our PCs in case we make one mistakenly bad action that can result in a virus infection. Vipre covers real time protection very well, and more.

I have to admit, this is the first time I have tried Vipre Anti-Virus software. Back then, it was always the big players like Norton and McAfee. However, their software never worked for me because as much as those applications bringing complete solutions for overall protection against virus, spyware and malware, they are just too resource intensive resulting in my PC slowing down.

I switched to lesser known anti-virus software thinking that all it really needs is an updated virus definition list to keep me protected all the time. That does not seem to be the case anymore as virus, spyware, malware and all those other bad things have evolved that a user really needs an anti-virus software that optimizes overall performance by incorporating protection modules against virus, spyware and malware into one cohesive tool.

This alone is possible if the software application is done right. I was lucky to test out Vipre Antivirus. But before that, you have to know that the current release is only for PC only. Installing the software is easy. A few clicks here and there and your system should then be protected in real time.

Now, the real test is to check out if Vipre bogs down my system or not and so far since the time I had started using it, it did not have any adverse effect on my PC that slowed it down. This is more like it considering that previous anti-virus software applications I used really were resource hoggers that it did not last long in my system because I uninstalled it.

One feature I like is the capability to schedule scans which really is a big help because Vipre can maximize the user’s time by running scan while the user may be out. I can also view history report summaries and reports, eliminate any trace of files in my PC and go deeper within the system to look at settings normally hidden by the operating system.

But the main core of what Vipre does is more than enough for me. Real time protection is very important considering that today almost all of us are online most of the time. Vipre does what it is supposed to do, all while not bringing down my PC’s overall performance.

Also, those who buy this software gets free U.S. based technical support. Pretty sweet deal right? Give Vipre a download and let me know what you think. You can find more details at or at
